One day Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak HaLevi Horowitz – known as the Chozeh Mi’Lublin – went to the forest to pray. He saw a man there who was chopping trees to make a wall with them. He noticed that some of the pieces of wood had bumps on them whereas others were straight. The Chozeh Mi’Lublin thought with himself that the man would probably cut the bumps to connect the pieces together. However, he saw that instead of cutting the bumps to straighten those pieces, the man was making holes in the other pieces with straight sides in order to make space for the bumps of the other pieces!
