The Zohar HaKadosh says whoever that stays up the entire night of Shavuot to learn Torah will be blessed with 70 different spiritual and material blessings. But why is that? Why do we have this custom? Maybe you have already heard the Midrash that says (Shir Hashirim Rabbah 1:2) Bnei Yisrael slept the entire night before they received the Torah; and therefore, we stay up all night on Shavuot to prepare ourselves for receiving the Torah anew.
